Open House
Well, it took me a few days getting these up on Youtube but I finally did it. I'm in the process of putting together a slideshow also of getting ready for the Open House & the night of, so check back in a few days for one more video of this night. The theme for the Open House overall was obedience and the children really enjoy preparing for these nights!
It's good to know that they are saved by grace, through faith & that not of themselves: it is a gift of God. It could be easy to worry or strive, but really we don't know & it's God doing the work, not us.

One of Many Crafts Completed!
I started this hook-latch at least 2 years ago & I finally finished. I don't like having too many projects incomplete at one time but whenever I go to the fabric store I always come home with a new craft to do. I've been avoiding those stores for awhile now & only have 2 things left I can think of to finish. One is a complex paint-by-number & the other is a baby blanket I'm crocheting. If I ever finish them I may post pictures of them as well.

Mark's Baptism
Grampa baptizing Mark! |
Dad, Christal, Mark, Jesse, Joel & Letha (sponsors) |
Jesse, Christal & Mark |
"To appreciate and use Baptism aright, we must draw strength and comfort from it when our sins or conscience oppress us, and we must retort, 'But I am baptized!' No greater jewel, therefore, can adorn our body and soul than baptism which no other kind of life and no work on earth can acquire."
This quote from Martin Luther seems to mean more and more to me these days. The devil is always right with his accusations & likes to remind us of things we would rather forget. If I go by how I feel, the devil would win and have me condemned, ashamed, guilty... in a second. I'm so glad we have real things to come back at him with & uncles and aunts who are faithful to remind us.

Today was Jim's 6th birthday! He told us all in school that it was a costume party (kings & queens) & I told him I was gonna dress up but I didn't tell him as what.
He was quite surprised!
Jim has a soft heart towards his parents and is excited about building up the walls
with his dad...
Discipline your son, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your heart.
Proverbs 29:17
