Hair Curlers

Taylor, Jack, Audrey & Sonya stayed a few days at our house last week and I did Taylor and Audrey's hair in curlers one of the nights. Taylor has been writing poems lately about what she does or thinks about... Her poem about getting her hair done is below.

We had Jack's birthday last Saturday.

Maria Is Getting Around

The other week Maria fell asleep so we put her in the other room. My mom went in there for something and found her awake doing her paperwork.

Matt's New Fishing Pole

Grandpa has made each one of us kids a fishing pole when we turned three. He has carried the tradition down to the grandkids and this time it was Matthew's turn. He was excited once he knew what it was!

The Good Samaritan Project

This whole project was very enjoyable! I forgot how slow & wild little kids are sometimes so the project took a few weeks instead of a few days but we had a good time. Marian especially didn't want me baking without her:) They really did a good job making the video too. I think part of their inspiration was knowing they were gona get to eat it all when they were done, but whatever the reason, they get the stories going in. Someday it may mean something to them:) I asked them who they think the Good Samaritan was and they said "Jesus" & then I asked them who they thought the hurt man was and they said "A Preacher"! They're hearing something:)

1st Day of Snow

We got probably less than an inch of snow last night but there was enough to take some pictures. There's supposed to be another 2 inches overnight but we'll see.
